Other Services

Critical Incident Truama Debriefing

A “critical incident” encompasses sudden deaths, major injuries, or threats to safety during routine tasks, affecting individuals, organizations, or communities. It includes situations jeopardizing emergency responders or public safety workers physically or psychologically. Intense emotions often accompany these incidents, hindering effective crisis management. Debriefing, a specific method, assists in addressing emotional and physical effects resulting from trauma exposure. Ideally conducted at or near the scene, debriefing enables individuals involved to process the incident’s impact.

Workshops & Psycho-Educational Talks

I lead a variety of psycho-educational seminars and workshops in community, business, and educational settings. Talks and workshops can be tailored to each participants needs. Self-harm, substance abuse, choosing a subject and career, effective study techniques, identity and personal development, and conflict resolution are just a few of the recent topics that have been discussed.
Employee Wellness:
I also offer employee wellness for the corporate environment.

Designed to help everyone in need

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Mindfulness, relaxation techniques, correct breathing techniques, dietary adjustments, exercise, learning to be assertive, building self-esteem, cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, structured problem solving, medication and support groups.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

It can make you too nervous to interact with other people, If your anxiety is preventing you from going to work, school, or participating in other activities, it's often a sign you may need help. Severe anxiety can make it difficult to leave the house to attend work.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

Depends on severity, If you have mild anxiety then 8-12 sessions may be effective as you learn coping skills and develop strategies to manage anxious thoughts and feelings. Patients with moderate anxiety may need 15 to 20 sessions to see lasting improvement.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment can help, and for many anxiety problems, therapy is often the most effective option. That's because anxiety therapy—unlike anxiety medication—treats more than just the symptoms of the problem.
